Inception of Avsar
Since 2009, Avsar has been continued to involve in meaningful, welfare driven initiatives that distinctly impact the quality of life of the weaker sections of the society, surrounding hundreds of slums in and around Delhi, and other parts of the country. Prayas is working
in the most backward and gender critical states Delhi.
Efforts have all along been made under the aegis of the ‘Avsar’ a national level non-profit voluntary organization active since its inception in the year 2009. Beginning with just 15 children, Avsar today undertakes various programmes with an outreach to approximately 5000 less fortunate women, youth and nearly 35,00 children and their families, directly and indirectly. It came into existence in a disaster situation when a devastating fire broke out in Lalkuan,
, Avsar continued to grow by respondingto various social realities that emerged with each
intervention.A registered national level voluntary organization(NGO) functioning in collaboration with the Scop Pluse , Habitate Learning Center, Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust, governmental & non-governmental organizations,Avsar is deeply committed to the cause of neglected,disadvantaged and deprived children, youth and women from underprivileged communities inseveral states. Avsar runs three of need-based community level projects. The organizationpursues a holistic, participative, collaborative and mainstream approach to promote country’ssocio-economic changes.
